Heritage train DPZ337 Koblenz-Lindau Insel
On Sunday the 7th of October, the 103.245, last unit of the series, hauled a heritage train with only 1st class coaches from the DB Museum of Koblenz via Bingen, Mainz, Groß-Gerau, Mannheim, Heidelberg, Bruchsal, Mühlacker and Ludwigsburg to Friedrichshafen and Lindau.
Since 2020, In exception of 103.222 owned by RailAdventure, no locomotive of the 103-series have regular service anymore, so it's always a pleasure for european railfans to see a great classic like this running. From the total of 149 built locomotives (E03.001-004+103.101-245) only 4 units remains in service order (E03.001, 103.113, 103.222 and 103.245), while other 13 units are stored in museums and depots. From unit 103.216, the locomotives received a longer cab for comfort of the train drivers. Those units, including the rebuilt 103 173 were 70 cm longer that their predecessors.

Red-Bull from Austria to Heerbrugg
Only until the end of October, these trains will be derouted from Feldkirch via Wolfurt and St. Margrethen. From then, the trains will return on the now partially doubled track from Buchs SG via Oberriet to Heerbrugg. The historic signal box on the right, as well as the typical swiss railway bells have no use anymore, they are being kept in good condition for heritage. The Signal box can also be visited with guided tours.

Mercancias 62402 Trasona-Sagunto
Maybe this are the last days of freight trains in one of the most scenic and toughest mountain pass in Europe, after 140 years of operation. New class Stadler €6000 are ready for use the new base tunnel, meanwhile they still run in the old line.
